to the conference organized by Budapest Business School University of Applied Sciences (BBS)

within the framework of the Day of Hungarian Science program, entitled

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all our lives both in and outside the walls of the University. During this period, the BBS community has not only overcome countless obstacles but has also delivered an abundance of innovation and new knowledge. Being both an educational and research institution, BBS is committed to multi-level cooperation, knowledge sharing, and supporting the wider community with our own resources, especially in the field of sustainability.  As our goals are in line with the topic and the future-oriented philosophy of the Day of Hungarian Science 2020 we are now presenting one of our flagships, we truly believe in the ISSUE (Innovative Solutions for SUstainability in Education) ERASMUS+ project.

The motto of the conference is Future Shaping Science, therefore the program intends to outline the necessary and unpredictable changes that were brought about by the coronavirus - frequently referred to as a black swan in many respects - and highlights its importance and contribution to more sustainable ways of thinking including scientific approaches. With our partner, the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Hungary (BCSDH), we provide you the opportunity to become part of an innovative network and participate at an online conference hosted by our University. At the virtual conference, you will be able to be part of a global challenge and contribute to joint thinking and action. The morning plenary session includes presentations by renowned professors/researches in the field of sustainable development from the ISSUE partner universities – Leeds Beckett University (UK), CBS International Business School (Germany), Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (Finland), and IEDC - Bled School of Management (Slovenia) and from a company partner of BCSDH. Further ISSUE partners such as CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association) and INFODEF (Institute for the promotion of development and training) will, through their support, contribute to the success of the conference. The conference also welcomes bachelor, master and Ph.D. students to the parallel session in the afternoon to deliver presentations on their own research areas in line with the practice-oriented topics set out by our business/academic/NGO partners, also present at the event.
