I. MATE Half Marathon – Gödöllő
The First MATE Half Marathon took place in Gödöllő on September 20, 2025, where BGE students were also represented.
Men’s category:
- Botond Szabó finished in 10th place.
4-person women’s relay:
- Eszter Nacsa, Szilvia Papp, and Abigél Szekeres achieved 3rd place.
Working professionals category:
- László Gehér finished in 3rd place.

Men’s Water Polo European Super Cup – Ferencváros
In the Men’s Water Polo European Super Cup, FTC defeated the defending Euro Cup champion Pro Recco, thus claiming the trophy for the second consecutive time and the sixth time overall.
Our student Gergő Fekete contributed significantly to the victory with 4 goals and strong play.

Chess Championship
The 1st BUEB Rapid Chess Championship was held on October 1, organized by BIT Club BGE and the Sports Office.
The tournament featured several registered players, international students, and even lecturers, creating a truly enjoyable atmosphere.
Results were announced in two categories (amateur and professional):
Amateur:

- Tamás Jankács
Professional players:
- Endre Csíki
- Máté Szabó
- Vusal Ahmedov
Special awards:
- Lili Kincse – Best female player
- Mihály Nagy – Best lecturer
Short Track Speed Skating
At the Dutch Open – Invitation Cup Short Track held September 19–21, 2025, our student Dominik Major, member of the Hungarian national short track team, achieved outstanding results:
- 2000 m mixed relay – 3rd place (Team Hungary)
- 5000 m men’s relay – 5th place in the A final

At the ISU Short Track World Tour series’ first qualifying event in Montreal, the Hungarian 2000 m mixed relay team finished 10th, earning valuable points toward Olympic qualification.
The team included Dominik Major, a BUEB student in International Business.

UltraBalaton Trail
Péter Kuzsmiczky, a BUEB student, successfully completed the 115 km UltraBalaton Trail race, finishing with a time of 15:39:34.
