Budapest University of Economics and Business Earns Bronze Certification in the FISU Healthy Campus Program
Budapest University of Economics and Business (BUEB) has received another significant international recognition: the institution has been awarded the Bronze Certification in the FISU Healthy Campus program, which evaluates health and well-being initiatives offered to students and staff at universities.
The Healthy Campus program is a global certification system established by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). It assesses higher education institutions’ health promotion programs, sports and recreational opportunities, sustainability efforts, as well as services aimed at enhancing community well-being. Universities participating in the program are evaluated against dozens of criteria.
Achieving the Bronze level demonstrates that BUEB consistently works to improve the quality of life and community well-being of its students and staff. The evaluation highlighted the university’s outstanding programs promoting health awareness, as well as initiatives supporting sustainable lifestyles and mental health.
“Earning the Bronze Certification in the Healthy Campus program is an outstanding recognition for our community. In achieving this milestone, many colleagues and students contributed alongside the Healthy Campus team, and I would like to thank them for their efforts. I am also pleased to share that our next goal is to achieve the Silver Certification, and we remain committed to working towards it. I believe that through our joint efforts, we can further strengthen our university’s role among the leading health-conscious and sustainable higher education institutions.”
