Introduction

Ms Czakó is a Full Professor at the Department of Management, Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Budapest University of Economics and Business, who joined the Department of Management after a three decade long academic career at Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB). She graduated at CUB, and obtained her PhD and Dr of Habilitation degrees there, too. She was founding director and led the Institute of Business Economics (2005-2020).
Her research interests include the contents of, and approaches to competitiveness research programs and the competitiveness of industries, and enterprises. Her research and teaching field is International Business (IB), where her research interest is in the firm theories in IB and international business strategies. One of her academic missions was to elaborate and introduce Hungarian language International Business courses and its textbook. She is dedicated to interactive and competency developing teaching methods. She is a founding member of the Central European Case
Competition (CECC), where she serves as Academic Board member.
In recognition of her competitiveness research and the outstanding academic and professional life activities she was awarded by the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic, Knight Grade, in 2013, and Gyula Kautz Award by the Hungarian Association of Economists, in 2020.
She is member and serves several national and international academic and professional organizations. She founding member of the AIB-CEE Chapter and was in charge of organizing the 1st Annual Conference of the Chapter (2014). She is founding member of the national network of entrepreneurship researchers.
