Institutional transfer

It is possible to transfer between two higher education institutions if you wish to continue your studies at the Budapest University of Economics and Business (BUEB).

There are two types of transfer procedures – please make sure to choose the one that fits your situation, and follow the corresponding rules and steps carefully.

If you are a Stipendium Hungaricum student, please refer to Section 2.

1.Institutional Transfer Procedure for Self-Financed Active Students

Students who are currently enrolled as active, self-financed students at another higher education institution and wish to continue their studies at Budapest University of Economics and Business (BGE) may apply for an international transfer.

Step 1 – Contact the Admissions Team
Please send an email to admission@uni-bge.hu expressing your interest in an international transfer. The Admissions Team will provide you with a private application link.

Step 2 – Complete the Application in DreamApply

Using the private link, you will be able to access the DreamApply system and start your transfer application. During the application process, you will see a non-refundable administrative fee of EUR 150.

Step 3 – Pay the Administrative Fee and Continue the Process

Once the EUR 150 administrative fee has been paid and the payment has been received by the university, you will be able to proceed with the remaining steps of the transfer application process.
