Students who are currently enrolled as active, self-financed students at another higher education institution and wish to continue their studies at Budapest University of Economics and Business (BGE) may apply for an international transfer.
Step 1 – Contact the Admissions Team
Please send an email to admission@uni-bge.hu expressing your interest in an international transfer. The Admissions Team will provide you with a private application link.
Step 2 – Complete the Application in DreamApply
Using the private link, you will be able to access the DreamApply system and start your transfer application. During the application process, you will see a non-refundable administrative fee of EUR 150.
Step 3 – Pay the Administrative Fee and Continue the Process
Once the EUR 150 administrative fee has been paid and the payment has been received by the university, you will be able to proceed with the remaining steps of the transfer application process.
Required Documents
Applicants must upload the following documents:
- An active student status certificate issued within the last 30 days and current university transcripts
- Copies of personal and educational documents:
- international passport
- secondary school leaving certificate, or
- higher education degree certificate (if applicable)
- A certified copy of academic records from previous studies (transcript of records, academic transcript, or equivalent document)
- A completed preliminary transfer request form and certified course descriptions/syllabi for all subjects the applicant wishes to have recognized
Application Periods
Applications for international transfer are accepted during the following periods:
- For Spring semester: 1 November – 30 November
- For Fall semester: 1 May – 5 June
Applicants are required to submit all documents related to their current student status and previous studies within the relevant application period.
- Please note that transfer applications are subject to academic evaluation, including the assessment of previously completed credits and course content. Additional documents may be requested during the review process.
