Budapest University of Economics and Business

Gábor is a sociologist holding degrees from Eötvös Loránd University and Maastricht University. He received his PhD from Eötvös Loránd University in 2009, where he defended his doctoral dissertation on public participation. He is currently a full professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Management at Budapest University of Economics and Business (BGE). He also holds an honorary appointment at the University of Nottingham, where he has been affiliated with the School of Education since 2021.;

In recent years, his research has focused on several areas, including work–life balance (WLB), higher education research, and sustainability. He has edited special issues of Hungarian and international academic journals and has been actively involved in organizing academic conferences, workshops, and other scholarly events. His work is regularly published in leading Hungarian and international academic journals.;

His current research interests primarily lie at the intersection of learning, participatory approaches, and organizational studies, with a particular focus on research methodology. Between 2013 and 2017, he was a senior researcher in the The Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA) funded project Dilemmas and Strategies for Reconciling Family and Work. From 2018 to 2023, he led the research project The Future of Business Education (FK 127972).
