Introduction

I graduated Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, with majors in Computer Science and English. Later, I entered the PhD program in Comparative Literature, and wrote my dissertation on the topic of Hungarian Roma and African American literatures.
I have taught almost all age levels. I was an English teacher in grade school, secondary school, and various language schools, as well. I taught English language and literature at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. I have been at BBS since the fall of 2011, teaching Business English courses, and a course on the USA as a Destination Country. I was the head of the Student Affairs Committee for six years.
My main area of research is the comparative study of African American and Hungarian Roma literatures and cultures. I have several publications in this area, and have participated in many conferences, among them those organized by The Gypsy Lore Society. I am a member of The European Academic Network on Romani Studies. I am also interested in international contacts and communications among higher education students.
