No visit to Budapest is complete without walking along Váci Street, one of the city's most famous shopping streets. Here you'll find international brands, local boutiques, cafés, restaurants, and plenty of souvenir shops.

At the end of the street lies Vörösmarty Square, one of Budapest's most iconic public squares. If you're arriving in the autumn semester, you're in for a treat – the square hosts one of Budapest's famous Christmas Markets, where you can enjoy festive lights, traditional Hungarian food, handmade crafts, and mulled wine during the holiday season, which you can all look forward to in the upcoming months.

🍲 Taste Traditional Hungary at Pozsonyi Kisvendéglő

If you'd like to experience authentic Hungarian cuisine, Pozsonyi Kisvendéglő is an excellent choice. Here you can try classic dishes such as goulash soup, chicken paprikash, stuffed cabbage, and many other local favourites in a traditional atmosphere.

After your meal, take a pleasant walk to the nearby Margaret Island (Margitsziget). This peaceful green oasis in the middle of the Danube is perfect for walking, jogging, picnics, or simply relaxing after a busy week at university.
