Several BGE students performed well at the Hungarian Universities and Colleges Grappling Competition organized by the Hungarian Grappling Association:
Anna Ballonyi, who finished first in both the -53 kg Gi and NoGi beginner women's categories,
Vince Végh - beginner NoGi - 2nd place
Levente Ákos Kondás - beginner NoGi 77 kg - 1st place
Fantastic performance at the B33 basketball MEFOB
The team led by László Székely finished the first qualifier flawlessly, so they can look forward to the continuation as tournament winners. In the second qualifier tournament, they ended up in 3rd place with one loss, so they reached the final as the 1st seed overall.
Ice Hockey MEFOB
Due to a cancellation, instead of the 3-person group, only 2 teams remained in the group, so our team played 2 matches with Széchenyi University, where unfortunately we did not manage to fight off the later podium finishers to advance.
Team members:
- Balázsi Barna Bálint
- Bocsor-Kovács Péter Géza
- Cseh István
- Erdőhelyi István
- Gulyás Bálint Erhard
- Kékesi Bence Zoltán
- Schwartz Ádám Kristóf
Table Tennis MEFOB
In the working category, László Varga finally finished in 3rd place in a very high-quality field.
I.Darts MEFOB BGE prevails
A university cup in darts has been organized for several years, but this year it was the first time that a MEFOB was organized.
The competition brought high-quality matches with a total of 52 competitors, where the employee category was won undefeated by Péter Pécsi, an employee of the Sports Office.
In the student men's individual competition, BGE also won, where Péter Kelemen was unbeaten and won the championship title by playing at the national team level in the final.
A great silver medal
Life ultimately meant that the Hungarian women's epee team had no chance of competing in the same lineup as they did at the 2022 Cairo World Championships, where our team won the first world championship gold medal in the sport in the very same sports hall where they competed on Sunday. Sugár Battai was unable to compete due to a hip injury, and Kira Keszei took her place alongside Renáta Katona, Liza Pusztai and Luca Szűcs.

Our Olympic champion men's epee team continues its march
They won their third gold medal at the fourth team World Cup competition in Marrakech of the season – with perfect competition.
The bar is obviously high for the winners in Paris, but they are raising it higher and higher, and that was the case on Sunday. It can be said with some exaggeration that the team of Tamás Dancsházy-Nagy, which this time consisted of Tibor Andrásfi, Zsombor Keszthelyi, Máté Koch, Gergely Siklósi, schooled the field like a mirror. Not to mention that the easy victories against India (45:21) and Colombia (44:20) were no problem at all. However, the quarter-final victory over the increasingly strong Egypt, 40:15, was absolutely a feat. After that, the team defeated France and Italy.

Vivien Sándorházi wins bronze medal at the European Badminton Championships
She finished on the podium at the competition held in Horsens, Denmark, after losing 2:0 to Scotland's Kirsty Gilmour in the semi-finals on Saturday. The Hungarian athlete still achieved a historic success, as this is the first individual European Championship medal in the history of Hungarian badminton.
