Parasport Week was a success this year too
This year, BGE students were able to try out the beauties and challenges of rattleball, sitting volleyball and paraswimming. The 3 different sports were presented in a total of 10 courses, which were attended by nearly 200 students during the week. There were two special classes, where experts in the given sport gave presentations.
On February 17, the president of the Fehérbot Sports Association, Ferenc Csonka, held a session on the rattleball sport, at which our students first learned about vision loss and then about the sport itself.
The next day, sitting volleyball took center stage, with Gyula Raska, the national captain of the sitting volleyball branch operating within the framework of the Hungarian Volleyball Association, and his selected players giving presentations on various aspects of the sport.
According to the students’ feedback, the programs were very useful and everyone had a great time. We would like to thank the Hungarian Volleyball Association, the Fehérbot Sports Association and of course the university's physical education teachers for their professional help, which increased the quality of our program series.

K. Szabó Gabriella won two medals at the Atheltic National Champioship
The 51st Hungarian Indoor Athletics Championship took place in Nyíregyháza on February 22-23, where our student, Gabriella K. Szabó, performed brilliantly in several events. Gabi finished second in the 800 m and third in the 1500 m.

Silver World Cup round in February
Another World Cup round for men's fencing was held in Germany between February 7-9, where our student, Tibor Andrásfi, won a silver medal. He won several close matches until the final, but eventually lost 14-13 to Italy's Davide Di Veroli after extra time.
