The mid-term kick-off event of BUEB’s Foreign Language and Language Exam Center’s BEE Mentorship Programme was held on 13 February in UniZone, with losts of laughter and a lively atmosphere.
The event was opened by Lead Coordinator Estilla Vanó, who introduced the two new Lead Mentors. These mentors support the language instructors who coordinate the program, playing a key role in ensuring the mentorship network runs smoothly. The four Head Mentors also introduced themselves, giving a detailed overview of the program, including responsibilities and organizational structure.
Adding to the lively and communal spirit, participants enjoyed a “mind-bending” logic game designed to strengthen team cohesion, alongside the always-welcome cakes and soft drinks.
What is the BEE Mentorship Program?
The BEE Mentorship Program is a mentoring initiative for international students, primarily focused on helping new students settle into university life. Its main goal is to support social integration and make it easier for international students to adjust to daily life in Hungary and at the university.
Many participants come from distant countries – even different continents – and for many, this is their first extended time away from home. The new environment, unfamiliar culture, and academic challenges bring both exciting opportunities and significant tests. The mentorship program ensures that international students don’t have to face these challenges alone.
