Introduction

I am head of the Doctoral School of Entrepreneurship and Business at Budapest Business School. In addition, I managed the work of MTA-BUEB Macroeconomic sustainability research group. I have been involved in the management of two research projects (on the internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises and on the analysis of the financial indicators of SMEs, respectively) under the Higher Education Institutional Excellence Programme of the Hungarian Ministry of Human Capacities. Until recently, I have published 240 scientific reports and 12 books. I received a BUEB Scientific Award in the category of scientific books in 2018 and in researchers’ scientific reports in 2019. I teach subjects on international economic and financial issues and EU studies at MA and PhD levels. I supervise the elaboration of theses by MA and doctoral students in these subjects as well. In the autumn of 2019, my student Gyula Herczeg's paper, was awarded first prize at the faculty conference of the Scientific Students' Association. Since 1 March 2020, I have been editor-in-chief of the periodical Külgazdaság. I am a member of the Economic Committee of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee.
